Carl and Christy met at BYU in an overcrowded Personality Psychology
class (psych. 342). For more in-depth research on the subject they
studied each other’s personalities and liked what they found. With
the well-known enchantment of that campus, the two married by the
year’s end. Their first six years of marriage were invested in their
continued education at BYU. With their first-born, they moved to
the place of Carl’s upbringing—the San Joaquin Valley of California.
After nine years of great employment and service opportunities,
and with four more children they were lured back to that enchanted
campus. Enthralled with the family-friendliness of Orem, they made
it their home. Surviving flood and fire, they added one more child
to their family and determined that this would be the place to sink
in their roots, raise their children, and even retire. From that
sardine-packed psychology class, a family of six entertaining, loving,
and varied personalities emerged.
Coming soon . . . the children’s side of the story!
